No. Nor is he a naturopathic physician. He is a traditional naturopath. This may seem like splitting hairs and playing word games but it isn't. A naturopathic physician utilizes some pharmaceutical drugs and invasive techniques and therapies as well as natural substances. They bridge the gap between the totally natural and the totally allopathic (traditional medicine). A traditional naturopath will only use natural means.
As of the year 2009, I have 33 years experience as a counselor, 17 years spent as a minister and missionary. I have been a practicing naturopath for 13 years. I hold a doctorate in pastoral counseling and a doctorate in naturopathy. I am a certified nutritional counselor, a certified nutritional microscopist and have received training in BICA, ART and certification in ETPS. I completed a post-doctorate M.A. in integrative medicine at the Capitol University in Washington, D.C. in 2004.
No. In some self-directed health plans, we may be able to accept your medical reimbursement "credit card," though that is not a certainty. You will have to check with the benefits administrator for clarification. We will be happy to talk to the administrator by phone.
We have seen infants as young as 2 months old.
You may bring in your bottles of supplements or a list of what you are taking. We will help you understand why you would take what you are taking and why you might or might not want to continue taking them.
Time constraints have made it necessary to curtail my radio show. I am occasionally on WAAV 980AM with Dr. Kevin Wynne on Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m. and on television on Good Morning Carolina WWAY channel 3 at 7:00 a.m. When we know there will be an appearance we try to make it known on the initial home page of this site.
The same reason applies to why I am not appearing at other locations outside of the office (Hampstead, Whiteville, Asheboro, Greensboro) to do the Peripheral Blood Assessments.
Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in Germany. The principle of homeopathy is that "like will cure like." The system of homeopathy uses extremely small doses of substances to cure symptoms that were actually caused by the same substances given in larger doses. For example, if a substance given in large doses cause nausea and vomiting, then in very, very small doses, it will cause a cure of the same symptoms. This is thought to be nonsense by many scientists around the world. But, it has been proven thousands of times over the past 200 years that, in fact, it has been extremely useful in helping many medical conditions resolve. The beautiful thing about homeopathy is that the remedies are non-toxic at the levels given and, therefor, are safe for any age group.
